has been instrumental in helping SKCT set up an excellent Science lab and a state of the art Math Lab.
The trainers from Agastya come to our school every fortnight to explain concepts in Science and to ensure that the rural students get a solid understanding of the concepts explained in their curriculum.
has been actively guiding us in exploring the 4 domains of learning i.e. Classroom, Corridor, Campus and Community. We were fortunate to host 4 fellowship scholars sent from the organisation for 2-3 months each. Fellowship scholars helped and guided us in effective implementation of the organisation’s deliverable for each domain.
We are currently running organisation’s deliverable named , “Club Activity, PYF(Phone Your Friend), Mission English” with the help of enthusiastic volunteers.
To supplement the mid day meal, we provide vegetables to all the 350 plus students and teachers in the school with the support of Sai Annalaxmi Foundation. The fresh vegetables are specially cooked in the Sai Krushna Annalaxmi kitchen and served along with the lunch from Akshaya Patra. The vegetables range from children’s favourites like ladies-finger and potato to brinjal and pumpkin, to fresh green vegetables like Spinach, cabbage, beans and even bitter gourd.
The use of Alteryx software facilitated by members of the Alteryx for Good team has helped us automate our manual processes significantly. The members of the Alteryx for Good (AFG) team visited Sai Krushna Charitable Trust and understood the requirements. Each of the different use cases were analyzed for their feasibility and impact and these have been addressed by the AFG team. The AFG team developed workflows and came up with single click solutions for most of the use cases. For instance, today the certificate generation task has become much simpler. Once the data has been collected in an Excel and categorized, it is just a single click of the button for all the certificates to be generated (including the winner’s name, award category, template selection and final certificate generation into PDF). Another click of the button and the certificates are now printed as hard copies.
In an effort to promote better literacy and library development, we have a collaboration with the ABC Club. The objective of their Libraries 4 Schools (L4S) Program is to promote a culture of reading in the school community, which in turn will enhance the teaching – learning and literacy programs at the school. The library aims to provide students with the resources and skills to become independent, critical thinkers, lifelong readers and information users. We also hope to encourage students to develop an appreciation for literature and the love for reading.The library – through its resources- also aims to support the personal and professional development of teachers.
