Forging Ahead

Sai Krushna Charitable Trust has had a wonderful journey over the past decade. It started in 2010 with Sai Krushna Mandir Children’s home and Sharavathi Kannada High School with just over 100 students. Fast Forward to a decade, with Swami’s blessings and the efforts of hundreds of volunteers, Sai Krushna Charitable Trust has multiple service projects running in tandem. Today, Sharavathi school has transformed into Sai Krushna Vidya Mandir, a completely free English medium school with over 300 students. The school has earned a reputation for quality education so much so that, students are joining us from the English medium schools in the vicinity.

Sai Krushna Grama- An Integrated Village

Sai Krushna Arogya Dham, a free primary healthcare centre was started in 2016 and has provided free primary healthcare services to over 1000 patients over the past five years. Besides the general health services provided to the patients, many health camps like eye camp, dental camp have also been conducted.

Project 3H Catalyst was started in 2017 to upskill and improve the employability of Government college students by providing them free training on important topics like communication, logical reasoning, quantitative ability, entrepreneurship etc.

Despite the consistent improvement in the scale of activities, a need was felt of taking it to the next level so that more people could be benefitted. The Sai Krushna Integrated Village Development Project has been envisaged to be implemented in phases over the next 5-7 years. The project consists of:

  1. Opening of a PU college to enable students to complete their pre-university education
  2. Starting a Skill development centre which imparts important occupational skills like plumbing, carpentry, tailoring to enable self-reliance among rural youth
  3. Opening a General Hospital to provide more specialised medical facilities to all beneficiaries

This is a huge leap of faith for Sai Krushna Charitable Trust, but we know the seeds of this transformation has been sown by our beloved Bhagavan and he will guide us at every step of the way. As a first step, we are looking for land of at least 10-12 acres within a radius of 5 kms from Sai Krushna Mandir campus.

We are confident that many more of our volunteers will join us on this journey so that we can live Swami’s dictum that Service to Man is service to God
