Village cleanliness is an integral part of the school’s approach to better health. Garbage disposal is done regularly and dustbins at identified locations prevent an untidy campus. Washing of hands with soap is a standard practice in the school before the meals. To promote self-reliance, students also take turns in classroom cleaning and ensuring the daily washing of their mid-day meal utensils with detergent.
Students now get involved in more socially useful activities like gardening also. This in turn is used to supplement the daily requirement of vegetables and fruits of the students from the perspective of the mid-day meal. This added ownership of growing vegetables and fruits and then consuming them has led to a more responsible attitude among the students.
