Education Beyond the Classroom

After a fun summer vacation, it was time to welcome the students back. The classes were set up to receive students for regular classes from classes1- 10 ,on June 2, 2022. It was heartening to see the children excited to be back at school.

Sai Krushna Mandir was bustling with energy as the boys were back from their holidays and they were all set to give a warm welcome to the two new boys who have joined Sai Krushna Mandir as residents: Prajwal and Kanthisurya, both in Class 2.

It was also a proud and emotional moment as two of our students, Manoj Kumar and Chandan M., joined the Sri Sathya Sai Pre-University College at Alike, Karnataka. Chandan, a resident of Sai Krushna Mandir, is pursuing science with biology while Manoj has taken up commerce. We wish the students the very best in life and pray to Swami that He may hone them into His ideal students and citizens of India.

Saturdays are no-bag days. A day for going beyond academics and developing the mind, body and soul. From Vedam, to basic computers, sports, communication, dance etc, each Saturday is a festival of learning. And the best part is that this is completely driven by the very active and dedicated volunteers of SKCT. They ensure they take time out to give the students exposure to certain key skills that are essential for a wholesome development. March past practice began in full swing to gear up for the school’s independence day parade.

The regular participation of volunteers boosts the energy, excitement and anticipation of all at SKCT. In fact, Saturdays have become one of the most looked forward to days of the week. . The students, staff and members of SKCT eagerly await the arrival of the weekend to welcome the volunteers. Their contribution towards the trust activities have been highly productive and far reaching.

The month of July saw the first parent teacher meeting from KG to Class 10. The teachers have combined technology and creativity to make learning effective and fun. Several in-class activities are being planned regularly to keep students attentive and engaged.

After innumerous visits to the government office, the school has received the RR for the next five years. Remedial classes are being conducted thrice a week for the students of class 10 to ensure that they are able to keep up with the portions.
